WORLD: A 71-year-old man yesterday opened fire in a Mormon Church library in Salt Lake

FINANCE: Tabcorp Holdings has made a $1.11 billion ($1.11 billion) bid to take over
Sydney's Star Casino; Telecommunications giant Cable & WWireless Optus yesterday bought 10 per
cent of Australia's third-biggest telecommunications company AAPT and launched a $1.5 billion
takeover bid; Nissan, Japan's second-largest carmaker, will not pay a dividend for the first
time in nearly half a century.
SPORT: Sydney City's 28-16 win over North Sydney last night may prove disastrous for New
