FRONT ROW

RECENT DECADES HAVE SEEN AN increasing flood of books, movies and plays on the Holocaust, a number of which merit attention, understandably so, for the subject treated rather than for the stylistic presentation.

The double treat comes when the two mesh. Happily, this is the case with the world premiere of "Hannah and Martin," by Kate Fodor, currently playing at TimeLine Theatre in Chicago.

In a masterful, gripping, and intense production, "Hannah and Martin" deftly portrays the complex physical, emotional and intellectual relationship between a German Jew (Hannah Arendt) and a German philosopher and one-time Nazi Party member (Martin Heidegger), her mentor and …

Personal & Soho Laser Printers. (Best Buys).

A considerable amount of time has passed since our last personal laser printer review, which was in March 2001. This affords us an excellent opportunity to gauge which changes have occurred and to determine if you are getting more for your dollar today than you were 18 months ago.

If you use your printer only rarely to produce letters, invoices, receipts and such documents, you may be better off with a colour inkjet printer. Although we can all agree that colour is a beautiful thing, many of us have printing requirements that are mostly limited to the world of multiple monochrome copies. ALBANY PANEL ASSIGNMENTS DRAW CRITICISM.(CAPITAL REGION)

Byline: JAY JOCHNOWITZ - Staff writer

Attempting to redefine itself and its role in city government, the Common Council on Monday issued a leaner list of committee assignments amid hopes that the new panels will take a more assertive approach in city affairs.

But in an early indication that the system is still evolving, the assignments drew immediate criticism from at least one alderman who noted that representatives of the predominantly minority downtown wards were left out of two key panels -- police and the council's most powerful committee, finance.

"Those are important committees, especially in the minority community and the minority wards," said 3rd Ward Alderman Michael Brown.

Agents targeting angiogenesis in older patients should be disease-specific.

2003 NOV 3 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Agents targeting angiogenesis in older patients should be disease-specific.

"Angiogenesis is impaired in aged tissues. It is probable that this deficit contributes to the increased severity of vascular diseases observed in older persons. The changes in angiogenesis that occur with aging have been noted at the molecular, cellular, and physiologic levels of regulation," researchers in the United States report.

"Components of the neovascular process that are influenced by age include endothelial cells, the hemostatic cascade, neuro-chemical mediators, and growth factors and their cognate receptors. The structural and …
